Hired drivers stuck in Dalian

Hi! First of all, thank you for a fantastic mod to ETS2! It has given me several hours of relaxation driving on the korean penisula.
One thing I haven't figured out yet is why my hired drivers seem to be stuck in Dalian. They're on a trip from Barcelona to PyongYang but all three of them has now been stuck in Dalian.
The "only" thing I've tried so far is to save and reload to ensure it is not a traffic jam issue. But to no use so far.

I'm running ETS2 1.43 and I'm using the Road to Asia v1.3.

Could you please provide me with instructions of things to try or - even better - an explanation/solution?

Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,
This is the first I heard of this problem.
The only thing I can think of is that they can't find a job. But we need to investigate it

What we propose is that you update the version to 1.44 and check if the error persists.

Hi Olaf. Just to clarify, I do not think it is an "can't find a job"-issue. It is merely that they don't reach their destination.
I will upgrade but it will be in a couple of days as I'm in the middle of a long haul. =)

I tried to attach a picture to this post but received an error message, I don't know if you are aware of that:
"Oops! We ran into some problems.
The upload failed because the temporary directory was missing. The site administrator will need to resolve this before any files can be uploaded."

The picture I intended to attach shows three drivers in Dalian, with a dotted line (representing the train to Dalian) and the course to the final destination in Pyongyang. In Dalian is where they are piling up. A fourth driver is on her way... ;)

Hi,
Because we all have updated to ETS 1.44 it is for us impossible to replicate or fix the issue for 1.43.
So thats why we propose is that you update the version to 1.44 and check if the error persists.

We know about the problem with attaching an image to the forum. We are looking into it.
You can use https://postimages.org/ and post the link here.

English(translated by Google Translate): I had a similar problem in 1.44, but I solved it by changing the in-game time, I think those drivers were on their way to Dalian or on their way from Dalian to somewhere else.
中文:我在1.44中也遇到过类似的问题,不过我通过更改游戏内的时间解决了它,我认为那些驾驶员是在去大连的路上或在从大连去其他地方的路上。

This sound interesting, could you please describe more in detail how you change the in-game time?

Firstly, open the main folder ofEuro Truck Simulator 2 (in the document folder).
Secondly, find a file called"config.cfg", and open it with notepad.
Then, find “uset g_developer "0" "and " uset g_console "0" ", change the number "0" into "1".
Finally, run ETS2, go into your profile, press ` and type "g_set_time+time"(e.g. g_set_time 7 --------to set time to 7am)

This clearly works. I tried to fast forward the time a couple of times and suddenly the drivers were delivering their goods. Now I intended reload my old save (with them stuck), completing my long haul, and if they haven't reached their destination when I have, then I'll change the in-game time again.

Thank you Hawzc!

@OlafJ, I guess the "bug" isn't a bug after all. My best guess after playing around a bit is that as the drivers enters the train the avatar is moved to the final destination immediately though the train trip takes a while. Therefore, it looks like they are stuck at the destination, when they actually are being transported to their destination. This conclusion is based on that eventually the first driver reach his destination while I was completing my long haul. Still it took a serious bit of time.

Case closed. =)

Thank you all for your support.

Your guess is right ;)
You can check the status of the individual drivers to see if they are still inroute to their destination.

And yes it takes a serious bit of time. Have you seen how muck km's the trainroute is :giggle:
