Thanks! Update 0.2 is coming, I'll be changing the version name to BETA 0.2 so it's easily readable and people know the exact version.

I don't have a definite list of what's coming in 0.2 yet, it's mainly small fixes and a large amount of details and QoL additions.

I've explored little over half of it so far. Took a load From Puppebu to Ullapool, Scotland. looks beautiful, really does. Haven't had any crashes nor glitches. Working with all my other map mods as well.. Love how you did the terrain, not simply flat. Some very steep angle roads, scared me a little bit Lmao. I tried and wanted to do a YouTube video on it, but I'm having Issues with recording atm, project for another day.

Your textures are amazing. the rocks, dirt roads, lighting and especially the icebergs are gorgeous. not sure what you could do better but excited for V0.2 for sure. Maybe add a little Fish/seafood company for freight In & out, Be a great map for one.

Update 0.2 is now ready!

Link fixed and updated with changed def files to the city/country

Changelog:

Adjusted houses en route to Puppebu.
Closed several terrain gaps.
Adjusted ferry name to be capitalized, fixed country code and country name. (Thanks to Kaiser from GMC)
Added lapping waves to a majority of the coastline.
Added a lot of movers.
Added a fuel tanker to refuel at Jan Mayen Station.
Added a repair & upgrade garage to Jan Mayen Station.
Added the Aurora Borealis effect around the map.
Rescaled several items to their proper size.
Added a lighthouse near the Garage.

Known issues:

The flagpole at Jan Mayen Station has no collision. I did not include one in Blender as it was originally meant to be a bit of scenery and not have a garage, fuel etc to be driven around. This may change in a future update it's easy to do.
The Aurora Borealis effect remains at both daytime and nighttime. I have tried making it only at nighttime but it refuses to change, not sure why.

It worked when I played within the Editor, I will look into it. Push comes to shove I will make a proper fuel station.

Just tried it my end, it works fine. Do you have the above version from Mediafire? the description should list 0.2 changes.

Here's proof it works.

0.2.1:


Small update to remove the old garage and replaces it with a prefab icon so the truck spawns outside parallel to a building and does not cause the trailer to go flying.

@Luigi1989 I'm aware, that's due to the way specfic map backgrounds are made. The exact same anomaly happens in Norwich and across the middle of EAA Map.

However, on the regular map, we get this. It's up to BenganJ to fix the projection I believe.

@TruckinDavo Yeah that came out quick, next update is planned!

Edit: Sign is now complete.

Here's a comparison.

I know it's not totally acurrate but getting the correct geomtery of each invdividual sign is going to take an awful long time.

Here's the mountain in progress:
I would paint snow on parts of it but since the texture has had U and V repeat to the TOBJ it's painting it in "areas" as opposed to direclty where my mouse is, so that is why I plan to make a few of them.

Planned for update 1.0

Redesign the roads to match satellite data better. (In Progress)
Redesign the airport and model it in the correct location and give it correct textures (more custom textures will be made for this.)
Design the 2 Lagoons on the island (The road to Puppebu will be redone, and the road to Nordkapp will be redone also.
Model the Beerenberg volcano (I loaded up Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 last night and flew from Jan Mayen to get a better idea of how the map should look. That was a ton of fun!)
Model several large mountains for placing around the middle of the map.
Design a small settlement for Eggoya just past Janmayensfield (the airport.)
Redesign Nordkapp with the proper building and globe and not just a "looped road" to the globe. This be overlooking a vast cliff like it is in real life.
Model a few signs (bear warnings etc)

And last but not least...

I am planning to release a Winter Edition.

This will consist of:

Snowy roads (So grip is drastically reduced)
Custom rock models with snow textures, these will strewn across roads and the terrain to create obstacles.
Snowbanks by the roadside (If you've played DiRT Rally you'll know the type I mean.)
More Ice Bergs and chunks of ice strewn about the map.
May work well with Grimes' winter mod but I have to test that.
Snow will harden and will be piled up along the road network (This will be terrain pieces that have their vertices come through the ground.)

The Winter Edition has not been started. It will be included as a seperate download when 1.0 is released.

Similar to Hawkb's Dalton & Elliot Highway Map for American Truck Simulator.

This will take quite a long time so please bare with me.

I will ammend each current stage with "Complete" "In progress" and "Not started" These will follow the same colour from the OP.

The reception to the map so far has been very good across the board and I cannot wait for you to see what is coming. It's going to be a wild ride.

You can use scale hack disable to fix this issue, although it misaligns all of the UK. Bengan won't "fix" anything, as in his eyes there is nothing wrong unfortunately.

Place this file just above the background file

Been a busy bee and made my first custom prefab from scratch. It does connect with the roads but it is a little bit off center and I cannot seem to correct it. I'll keep trying though. Got some new sand textures on the go so once the textures and prefab is finished I can make a headstart on the roads and really get the ball rolling with this update.

You can edit the manifest.sii to make it compatible on 1.42.
