My name is Alex, born and grew up in Romania. I moved to the Netherlands after high school, went to college in Amsterdam then I moved to Sydney, Australia and went for two masters, became an aerospace engineer.
There I fell in love with an epic girl. We married, changed my name (took her surname and changed my first name to "Axel") and moved to Tokyo, Japan. We adopted a little Japanese baby (her parents died in the 2011 tsunami).
At the same time I was working (mostly remotely) for a governmental agency in the United States (Virginia) and a private aerospace company based in California.

Now, while my wife is pregnant we're getting into the first stages of moving to Canada.

So basically I'm not Canadian, I'm not really American nor Australian, for sure I'm not Japanese, definitely not Dutch. But also I'm not a Romanian anymore (renounced the citizenship in 2015 after I took the American citizenship). And to be honest I don't really care about origins or ethnicities. I use the citizenships as tools of opportunity. Some countries have better mediums and opportunities, others nope. There's no "perfect" place to be and there's no perfect culture to choose from.

In my free time I also make music. Usually electronic music, like Trance, Progressive, Chillout and Experimental, Dark Ambient stuff. It's just a passion, it will never be a career.
